Delete an audio file

I'm using a template and there's an awful default audio clip attached to the template that I can't delete. When I try to add a new file, it overlays it on top of the default audio file instead of replacing it. Does anyone know how to delete an audio file? 

 

Note for developers - this a very counterintuitive setup and should be addressed immediately.

  Dear Matt, to delete audio, just select it from the little musical note icon below the timeline and click the trashcan button in the right toolbar.
